Shining Through: Art Show & Auction - October 18, 2012
The annual Shining Through Art Show & Auction spotlights the great gifts that come from the contributing artists who have personally suffered from a treatable brain disorder. Their participation in this event demonstrates that they have either recovered from or are managing their mental illnesses in much the same way one would manage any other chronic disease. We can think of no better way to celebrate our efforts on behalf of people with mental illness than to focus on their abilities. All contributing artists receive 51 percent of the selling price of their art and the event is the Mental Health Foundation's leading fundraiser.
